In October 1998, 21 year old gay University of Wyoming student Matthew Shepard was kidnapped, severely beaten and left tied to a fence in the middle of the prairie outside Laramie, Wyoming. He died several days later. Moises Kaufman and the Tectonic Theater Project have constructed a moving experience from over 200 interviews of people from Laramie.
