The Laramie Project

Friday, Feb 17 8:00p
at Lubbock Community Theatre, Lubbock, TX
Price: $20 for Adults, $15 for Students
Age Suitability: Teens and up

In October 1998, 21 year old gay University of Wyoming student Matthew Shepard was kidnapped, severely beaten and left tied to a fence in the middle of the prairie outside Laramie, Wyoming. He died several days later. Moises Kaufman and the Tectonic Theater Project have constructed a moving experience from over 200 interviews of people from Laramie. It is a breathtaking collage that explores the depths to which humanity can sink and the heights of compassion of which we are capable.
