“John Chambers and His Sweet Band” will be playing two nights – Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25 – at the Firehouse Theatre. The Firehouse Theatre is an incredible venue. The sound system is flawless. The chairs are comfortable. The vibe is relaxed. And parking is a breeze. There will also be cocktails available and light snacks. The show runs an hour and a half. A perfect night out with someone you love!! Show starts at 8PM.
These are the first two shows in support of John's new album “Simone”. Tickets on sale Wednesday, April 15, at www.selectaseatlubbock.com – $8 General / $5 Students, Musicians and Gypsies. After the Lubbock shows, the band is booked to play Stubb’s in Austin on May 19. The band includes: Brian McRae (electric guitar, harmony vocals), Todd Caldwell (Hammond organ), Tanner Jacobsen (drums), Aaron Hatmaker (bass), Billy McClaran (fiddle, harmony vocals), Maureen Murphy-Chambers (harmony vocals), and John Chambers (vocals, acoustic guitar). Tommy X Hancock, considered the Godfather of Lubbock music, will be in from Austin to sing with the band on the song “So Still, So Green”. Tommy has been referred to as a kindred spirit to Johnny Cash. Hearing Tommy sing, you’ll understand why… he’s truly amazing.
