Drs. Michael Borshuk, John Beusterien, and Stefan Estreicher, the most recent winners of the President's Book Award, will describe their books and their research in a panel discussion, with a book-signing and reception to follow in the adjacent Faculty Lounge.
Michael Borshuk, Assistant Professor of African American Literature, is this year's winner of the President's Book Award for Swinging the Vernacular: Jazz and African American Modernist Literature (Routledge, 2006). The first-place award carries a prize of $5000.
John Beusterien, Associate Professor in the Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures for his book entitled, An Eye on Race: Perspectives from Theater in Imperial Spain (Bucknell University Press, 2006).
Stefan Estreicher, Horn Professor in the Department of Physics for his book entitled, Wine from Neolithic Times to the 21st Century (Algora Publishing, 2006).
