Technological advances come ever faster—exponentially faster. The way we as humans interact with the world now will be radically different in five years—and virtually unrecognizable in ten. In the last six months alone, technology has by some estimates allowed us to produce and process more data than in the previous 100,000-plus years of human existence.
The question is, to what end?
Humanity has inadvertently allowed the efficiency of technology to stand in for the one thing that makes us uniquely human: true thought. Society has become reactionary, shallow and passive.
