Santa Fe New Music presents SFNM2 - The Southwest Festival of New Music, a three-day festival of new music and commissions from leading composers of our time. In celebration of the centenary of John Cage, the festival explores the theme of "Music as Environmental Consciousness", with music by today's younger composers who carry the spirit of Cage forward. The festival includes three different concert programs as well as one special late-night concert:
June 21 7:30PM Music of John Cage, Lisa Coons, David Dunn, with a premiere by Nathan Davis
June 22 7:30PM Music of John Cage, David Dunn, John Kennedy, and Michael Pisaro
June 22 10:00PM Premieres and electronic music by Nathan Davis and Christopher Marianetti
June 23 7:30 PM Premieres by Lisa Coons, Christopher Marianetti, and Christian Wolff, as well as music by John Cage and David Dunn
